On Wednesday, the Grand Hotel Europa’s reservation
department said the hotel has reopened and that guests are free to come and go
as normal.
The hotel in Innsbruck, Austria, closed on Tuesday and
implemented quarantine procedures after a hotel worker tested positive for the
Covid-19 coronavirus.
Tirol Werbung, the destination management company for the
Austrian state of Tyrol, reported that the two people in Innsbruck who have
tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus are no longer showing symptoms,
and that 12 people who had been in close contact with them have been
quarantined and are under medical observation.
Tirol Werbung also said that Tyrol is not considered a “high-risk”
area and that all ski resorts in the region remain open.
