Kimpton opens Barcelona hotel

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has opened its first
property in Spain, the Kimpton Vividora in Barcelona.

The 156-room hotel is a conversion of the former NH
Barcelona Centro. It is located within the city’s Gothic Quarter, in proximity
to tourist attractions Las Ramblas, Barceloneta Beach and La Boqueria market.

Guestrooms are decorated with blue and terracotta colors
inspired by the Mediterranean landscape, as well as natural wood, marble and
tile finishes. Each room is outfitted with locally designed furniture and
artwork.

The Kimpton Vividora offers several food and beverage
venues, including Cafe Got, a ground-floor eatery that serves coffee, cheeses
and small plates by day and a selection of wines, vermouths and cocktails by
night. Fauna, the hotel’s main restaurant, is located on the first floor and
showcases a Mediterranean-focused menu.

Perched on the property’s rooftop is Terraza de Vivi, a
poolside cocktail bar with a panoramic view of the city.

Rates at the Kimpton Vividora start at around $217 per night
for a standard room.
