Glenn Jones to lead Bermuda Tourism Authority on interim

The Bermuda Tourism Authority appointed Glenn Jones as interim CEO until an executive search can identify a long-term leader for the organization.

Jones, who joined the the organization in 2015, also will continue in his current role as chief experience development officer.

His appointment follows the recent departure of CEO Kevin Dallas, who stepped down to pursue opportunities in the private sector after three years at the helm.

“We’re confident in Glenn’s ability to pilot the BTA on its ever-successful trajectory,” said Paul Telford, chairman of authority’s board of directors.

“He’s a Bermudian who has grown and developed within the ranks of the BTA and performed well in a variety of evolving roles.”

Jones first served as British Tourism Authority’s director of public and stakeholder relations before leading the rollout of Bermuda’s National Tourism Plan as director of strategy and corporate communications.

In his current role, he leads a team responsible for empowering Bermuda entrepreneurs and small businesses to develop on-island visitor experiences, drive growth in visitor spending and maintain high visitor satisfaction.
