Royal Caribbean International plans to break ground later this year in Antigua on a private beach club, its first branded Royal Beach Club, which is expected to open in spring 2021.
The club will sit on a half-mile of beachfront across from Fort James on the island’s northwest coast.
Features will include cabanas, a pool with a swim-up bar, regional food, live music, jet skis, paddle boarding and snorkeling.
The cruise line may open the club to the local community on days when its ships are in other locations, according to Michael Bayley, the line’s president and CEO.
Royal Caribbean recently opened its Coco Beach Club at its CocoCay private island in the Bahamas.
