Wynn Encore get Forbes upgrades

Forbes Travel Guide has upgraded the Wynn Las Vegas and the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas from four stars to five stars in its latest ratings.

They are the largest and second-largest Forbes five-star resorts in the world, respectively.

Nevada now ranks fourth among U.S. states with the most five-star hotels; the state boasts six of them. The others are the Encore Tower Suites and Wynn Tower Suites within those properties and the Aria Sky Suites and Skylofts at MGM Grand.

Wynn, which opened in 2005, and Encore, which debuted in 2008, feature a total of 4,748 rooms, suites and villas; 192,000 square feet of casino space; 22 restaurants; 11 bars; two spas; 160,000 square feet of retail space; two showrooms; two nightclubs; and a beach club.

Wynn Las Vegas recently reopened Wynn Golf Club and debuted a 430,000-square-foot meeting and convention space expansion.
