Vehicles of those working in vital sectors will be exempt from violation systems

Those going out for absolute necessity, including visiting a hospital or pharmacy, or buying essential items, and don’t have move permits during the programme timing, have to provide evidence of their emergency.

Members of the public in Abu Dhabi looking to go out during the National Disinfection Programme must be in possession of a move permit.

Abu Dhabi Police have warned those travelling out between the hours of 10pm and 6am without a permit will face a fine.

Those going out for absolute necessity, including visiting a hospital or pharmacy, or buying essential items, and don’t have move permits during the programme timing, have to provide evidence of their emergency.

A social media post from Abu Dhabi Media Office said: “Those going out during sterilisation timings (due to an urgent matter such as hospital, pharmacy, or to buy basic needs) who do not have permission, must present proof of reason for being out.”

Organisations whose staff work during the times of sterilisation are required to provide the National Crisis & Emergency Management Authority with their names and car registration plates, which will exempt them from fines.

A further tweet said: “Vehicles of those working in vital sectors will automatically be exempted from violation systems.”

Permits can be obtained from www.adpolice.gov.ae.

Those who wish to file an objection can do so from the same address, within 15 days of the fine.
