Recent data by Parkdean Resorts has revealed what the top 10 places to buy a seaside holiday home are. The study analysed the average house price, the quality of healthcare and the cost of living to find “the perfect location for a sun-drenched holiday – or permanent – home.”

Buying a holiday home abroad is becoming an increasingly popular option among Britons who want to spend part of the year in a warm and sunny spot.

A recent study analysed 20 seaside resorts to reveal the top 10 global seaside second home locations.

The research took into consideration the average house price, the quality of healthcare and the cost of living.

But which one came first?

Gran Canaria

The popular Spanish destination came first as the best global location to buy a holiday home.

Not only the average house price and cost of living came in as the most affordable in the index, but the healthcare quality in the beautiful Canary Islands location ranked very high.

San Sebastian

The popular beach destination in Spain came second as the best place to buy a holiday home.

San Sebastian is famous for its beaches, beautiful town and delicious food.

Perth

Perth, in Australia, secured third place in the top global destinations to buy a holiday home.

The capital of Western Australia is known for being the most isolated city in the world.

Its sandy beaches, beautiful parks and vibrant city make Perth one of the best options for expats who want to retire abroad.

The average house price to income ratio scored at 28/32, and the average cost of living in this city scored at a comfortably affordable 19/32.

However, Britons should note that even the cheapest locations have become more difficult to access due to Brexit.

The cost of buying in Europe has already increased by 0.5 percent in some places, and it has become more challenging for Britons to get a visa.

Buying a holiday home in the UK could be a better option for many as not only you would be closer to family and friends but buying a motorhome or bungalow can be a good option to save thousands of pounds.
