Mr Sunak said there will be an increased air passenger duty for ultra-long haul flights. This will be put in place from April 2023.

Mr Sunak announced from the Commons today that the cost for ultra-long haul flights will increase.

Families may have to pay an extra £20 to travel on a long-haul flight from April 2023.

However, the Chancellor of the Exchequer said fewer than five percent of passengers will pay more.

Mr Sunak added that there will be a lower rate of air passenger duty for domestic flights.
