Google Maps Street View: Terrifying figures spotted behind house window in sinister photo

Google Maps introduce their new ‘Live View’ feature

Google Maps Street View is well-known for snapping bizarre scenes in countries across the globe. One shocking spectacle was photographed in Chicago, USA. It depicts a horrifying sight behind the window of a house.

At first glance, the house and street appear to be nothing out of the ordinary.

The former is a nondescript three-storey building.

However, it’s when one looks at the middle window that one is struck by alarm.

Something terrifying seems to be going on in the room.

In the first floor window, three sinister black figures look to be pressed up against the pane.

The largest one has both arms on the window, fingers fully splayed against the glass.

Two smaller figures can be made out, also holding their hands up against the windowpane.

It very much looks as though the bigger one is desperately trying to escape.

It is as though they are trying to attract the attention of passers-by to elicit help.

But is this what is happening?

Are the figures panicked humans, nightmarish demons… or is there another explanation for the creepy trio?

Although no rational explanation is provided by the image, the month the photo was taken gives some clue as to what’s really going on.

The photograph was taken in October – the month of Halloween.

In fact, further down the road, a selection of pumpkins can be seen outside a house.

This would suggest there is a rather more innocent explanation to the chilling trio in the window.

It seems likely that the foreboding figures are in fact Halloween decorations.

They were probably hung up by the house’s owners to frighten anyone who passed.

Sometimes, on Google Maps, it is real humans who scare viewers.

One unnerving Street View photo shows two perfectly identical people by a river in a surprisingly sinister shot.

However, the scene is, in fact, the result of a glitch.
