Italy now risks entering the UK’s coronavirus travel quarantine list, after a recent spike in coronavirus cases. In line with the rest of Europe, the country saw just over 7,000 cases, an increase seemingly marking a “second wave”. Several countries have seen a similar spike, making Italy just one of many destinations which may require returning travellers to the UK needing to quarantine for two weeks.
Os Italy on the UK quarantine list?
Italy recorded a total of 7,332 new coronavirus cases yesterday, pushing past countrywide records.
The new tally puts cases in the Mediterranean past 58.3, beyond the travel quarantine threshold of 20 cases per 100,000.
But ministers have not yet confirmed whether Italy will join the growing list of quarantined countries.
