From today, Jet2 will begin operating a reduced schedule and throughout the summer there will be more routes added gradually.

Like other travel firms, the low budget airline grounded its fleet back in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But now as Jet2 is resuming its schedule, the firm will fly to Spain, France, Italy, Greece and many more countries.

Then in August, there will be more routes added to the schedule, like Amsterdam, Rome, Venice, Barcelona, Lisbon, Paris and more.

But before flying with Jet2, the airline has many rules and regulations to keep passengers and workers safe so it's important to keep checking for updates.

Jet2 is asking passengers to check-in online where possible to avoid queues and interaction at the airport.

Passengers must wear a face mask for their entire journey, in the airports and onboard the plane.

The airline also said masks must be changed every four hours so it’s recommended passengers bring plenty.

As for children under the age of six and those who can’t wear a mask due to a medical condition, they are exempt from the rule.

Passengers will have their temperatures taken as there will be additional safety checks at the airport.

At the boarding gate, everyone will have to show their own passport and boarding card to avoid physical contact with staff.

On the plane, travellers must remain in their seats as much as possible and to avoid queueing for the toilet.

Food and drinks will be served onboard with contactless payments preferred and there is no hand sanitiser available on the flight so people must bring their own.
