The travel site has been popular with Britons for cheap holidays abroad. loveholidays took to its Facebook page to warn its customers that criminals are targeting britons who have had their holidays cancelled due to the pandemic.

Many of the fraudsters are claiming they are loveholidays staff who can give customers refunds.
Many Britons have been left disappointed this year after their holidays were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Thousands of Britons have flocked to airlines and travel companies to demand refunds.
However, some companies have taken longer than usual to process refunds after being inundated during the pandemic.
Now, the government is allowing Britons to visit a list of countries without facing quarantine rules on their return to England.
The countries on the list include Spain, France and Italy.
Fraudsters have been asking loveholidays customers expecting refunds for bank details.
“Warning: fraudulent callers posing as loveholidays staff”, said the holiday company on its official Facebook page.

“We have been informed that fake callers posing as loveholidays representatives have been targeting our customers and asking them to provide bank details in order to pay a £25 refund processing fee.
“These are not legitimate calls: we will never ask for bank details over the phone or ask you to pay a refund fee.
“If you receive one of these calls, please do not provide your details and report this fraudulent call to the police.
“Please see our FAQ for more information.
“Your safety and security is our top priority.
“To stay safe online, please make sure you don’t share any sensitive information on public posts.
“This includes your booking reference, holiday details, payment or billing information.”
The post has been shared just under a thousand times and has garnered over 2,000 comments from concerned travellers.
A loveholidays spokesperson told Express.co.uk that they became aware of the scam from social media and customers.
A spokesperson said: “We became aware of this scam on social media and from a couple of customers who have advised us that they have received scam calls.
“We have warned customers to be cautious with their personal details on social media as we want to ensure that they don’t fall prey to a call from a scammer.
“We have reported this to Action Fraud and recommend that customers who receive such calls also do so.”
