With the Government’s announcement on quarantine-free travel for double-jabbed Britons expected later today, Ryanair is welcoming holidaymakers back with a “buy one get one free” sale. The impressive deal covers 1,100 routes on Ryanair’s network including popular destinations such as Spain, France, Malta, Greece, and Portugal.

However, customers hoping to snap up this two-for-one deal must act with haste.

The Irish carrier says it brought back the sale due to “popular demand”, but it will only remain in place for 24 hours.

Passengers will need to book by midnight on July 7 in order to benefit from the savings.

Deals are available from 19 UK airports including Aberdeen, Belfast International, Belfast City, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Gatwick, Liverpool, London Luton, Manchester, Teesside, Newcastle, Glasgow Prestwick and London Stansted.

Flights are available to book between July and August.

What’s more, one-way tickets to select destinations start from as little as £25 each way.

This means two passengers could snap up a return deal from just £50 if they book a low-cost route on a specific day.

However, ticket prices work in accordance with demand meaning the more popular a route is, the higher the cost will be.

With that said, the European airline is known for its low-cost offering across the majority of its flights.

Ryanair bosses are urging holidaymakers to head over to the website and book their next holiday now.

Ryanair’s director of marketing, Dara Brady, said: “Who doesn’t love a freebie? Summer is here and as vaccination programmes continue, our customers are keen to visit the most popular European hotspots this month.

“We’re launching our unmissable 24h ‘Buy One Get One Free’ offer, available on over 1,100 Ryanair routes. Book today for travel in July and get a second ticket on the same flight for free.

“Customers can book a much-deserved holiday or city break to the best European destinations, bringing a friend or family member completely free.

“To avail of this special offer, customers must act fast and visit the Ryanair.com website to book their flights before midnight, tonight July 7.”

It comes just hours ahead of the anticipated Government announcement where ministers are expected to lift restrictions on fully vaccinated travellers.

As of July 19, travellers returning from amber list countries will no longer face 10 days of self-isolation.

However, PCR testing rules before and after travel to the UK are expected to remain.

Speaking at a press conference, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the Government was set to “work with the travel industry”.

“We will work with the travel industry towards removing the need for fully vaccinated arrivals to isolate on return,” he said.

Despite the change for double-jabbed Britons, some form of traffic light system is likely to remain in place to rank the “risk” of global nations.
